The PIP Report

Hey everyone, I know this has taken a while.  I am still going through the process so I will keep updating this post as I go through it.   Before I go any further I should say the PIP stands for Personal Independence Payment. This is a benefit that helps people with any form of additional needs to be independent. And now prepare for an onslaught of stupid decisions and pointless reasoning  So, PIP has been a bit of a pain. There were some things I have spoken of; like the 30 minute ‘interview’ when it took 3 days for me to get diagnosed with autism.  Also, the questions or should I say the answers to those questions are just silly.  Example: how far can you walk taking into account any aids you use? A) less than 20 meters B) between 20 and 50 meters C) between 50 and 200 meters D) 200 meters or more E) it varies. So, they haven’t said where you are walking to. They haven’t given any issue of how hard walking could be. They haven’t even sai...

What It Means To Be Autistic

Right like I said I had something a little odd I was doing. This time the topic is Autism, just pure ASD. I ask some of my friends, yes, I do have some and yes, it is a shock. I am going to give what I asked them first then I will show you what they said, this hasn’t been edited- they are this corny. I will use the nicknames I gave them.  These answers are from Nemo (not the fish🐠) What are the good things about having a friend with autism? The good things about having a friend with autism are the things you learn and start to understand and the bond you develop with each other as you both understand each other different views and outlooks on life. Having a friend with autism has made me so much more aware of how it might affect the daily life of an individual with autism. It has enabled me to become more aware of different factors which contribute to autism and how things like the environment or social situations can cause challenged or barriers for an individual ...

Music = Emotions

So today I thought I would do something different🙃. I am going talk a bit about emotions😮, I know that I try and stay away from this. This time around I am going to talk about areas and link them to music. Why music? This is because I can’t name the emotion, but I can name the song that I feel similar or that sums up that emotion. Although I know happy😊, sad😢 and angry😡 I won’t be using them they will also be listed through music. All the music I will find a counterpart of it in YouTube so if you want to you can listen to it as well. You might figure out a lot of these are by an artist called Sigrid. That is because I’m obsessed with her music🙉. 1) The first scenario is meeting someone new to getting use them. So, I would say ‘Strangers’ by Sigrid, ‘Run to the Hills’ by Iron Maiden then it would go towards ‘Ain’t Got Far To Go’ by Jess Glynne  2)  The second scenario is being happy, I am going to break this up into three reasons Just happy, then it would be ‘D...

Phasing to 'Typicalness'

I have had quite an odd week. It hasn’t been quiet but it hasn't got quick either. So I helped do some volunteer work at one point I had to travel up to Barnstaple, which about an hour and a half away from where I am. It was interesting, but I definitely got tired. I could tell by one reason- ⚠Phasing⚠. Phasing is a term me and my parents used when I skip between different ‘realities’. So it was fun seeing the road on the way home disappear then reappear and then turn to grass. I don’t really have this issue now, as I can usually control it. At one point I thought the world it was in was 2D, really didn’t help I was next to Ikea . The best thing I can do is sleep but trying to sleep with you have really weird things happening around you. I can see some people thinking about what is the difference between that and a meltdown. It is pretty much as simple as phasing is quite an odd and rare trait to have meltdown happen to pretty much everyone. Also with a meltdown, the world ei...
