An End of a Module
Before I talk too much. This is the new look for the blog I know it's bright but I wanted it to be colourful, I'm sorry if I have burned anyones eyeballs 😉. I have tried to copy colours from actual geckos. So everything has kinda been geckofied. I have added some more bits around, so if you can see if you can find all of the bits that have changed.
I have now finished my End of Module Assessment- Hooray. I will send it off for marking tomorrow. If I pass I can go to the next module. The next module is about psychology, it's good to actually have a module about psychology in a psychology degree.
Anyway rather than just talk about that little update I thought I would talk about how to talk to someone one the spectrum. To me it's one of the funniest and annoying things. I remember I was in year 5, so way before I was diagnosed as autistic, it was just before the Easter holidays. I was on a school trip with the rest of the year, me and some of my classmates and a teacher were traveling to one of the activities. I asked the teacher “Is it Good Friday today?”, it wasn’t it was a week later, The teacher gave the most annoying and funny answers. She said “Oh, I don’t know let's check on the radio” she turned the radio on it said ‘Feel good Friday’ then she quickly answered back “there you go, its Feel good Friday” I was still confused, as im guessing most would still be. Anyway the best way to talk to someone on the spectrum can be really easy most of the time just be truthful and considerate. When that doesn’t work just talk without using any slang or words that can be interpreted the wrong way and just talk to us like you do with any person because we are still people, it is amazing how many people slow things down or try and dumb their wording after you say ‘I’m autistic’.
Talking about things I am I got a new tick I’ve only had it since the start of this month. I go to any room or environment and if I get nervous or just stuck on one emotion in particular I shout out “ I’M A HAMSTER!!! 🐹” then go mute for a couple seconds then twitch. I just laugh because there's nothing I can do and the reaction on peoples faces when I do twitch is funny. I had people walking away from me slowly like I’m a dog, didn’t help I pretended to bark as well, I had rows of people split because they didn’t want to come anywhere near me. The other day I had a family surrounding me because they wanted to look at something and instead of politely asking excuse me they just swamped around me like a weird swamp thing. I twitched a little one of them looked at me like was odd, then they looked down and saw my gloves then they whispered something to the rest of the family then they just disappeared. I wonder what would've happened if had my new tick what would of happened?
I’m guessing that I will most likely post another blog around wednesdayish I’m guessing, as there is a few things happening between Sunday and Tuesday. Hopefully I can sum it up before the end of the week.
